I have Drupal 5.16, node_import 5.x-1.9, date 5.x-2.6, Event 5.x-2.x-dev from 2009-Mar-15, and when I go to the node-import page, I get the following error:

    * warning: include_once(sites/all/modules/date/date/date_timezones.inc) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/html/users/wsbe/sites/all/modules/node_import/supported/event.inc on line 8.
    * warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening 'sites/all/modules/date/date/date_timezones.inc' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/html/users/wsbe/sites/all/modules/node_import/supported/event.inc on line 8.

Sure enough, there is no sites/all/modules/date/date/date_timezones.inc in there. Even though I'm not trying to import any dates, this stops me from being able to select a file and move to the mapping step. I select a file, but when I try to move on, I get the above errors plus:

# The selected file /tmp/tmp_CEpJ89 could not be copied.
# You must select a file to import.

I copied date_timezones.inc v 1.4.2.4 from an old module and the error referring to date_timezones.inc went away, but I'm still getting the other error (variations thereof) and I still can't import. That's probably a separate issue (possibly related to filesize, as I have been able to get to the mapping stage with a very small test file), but I think there may still be a problem with date_timezone.inc.

Followup: I seem to need the Date PHP4 module to be active, and that defines functions which are also defined in date_timestamps.inc. So I moved the old date_timestamps.inc file out of the way (after re-enabling Date PHP4) and I still see the error I originally reported, but I am able to import my small test file.

So now I don't know if date_timezones.inc is needed for people not using Date PHP4 or not, but the error is still a nuisance.

I looked in 5.x-1.8 and the same code is there

so I tried commenting out the include for the non-existing file on line 8 of node_import/supported/event.inc.. seems to work

// include_once(drupal_get_path('module', 'date') .'/date_timezones.inc');

I am using PHP 5, no reason for me to enable the Date PHP4 module..
