When using the text field for assigning titles, removing an existing title is impossible. You can make changes to the title however, so replacing the title with ' ' is a possible workaround.

Rather than deleting them it would be better to set the title to '' anyway. Deleting them means that that member won't show up in a view at all since it's missing from the table.

I added a option that gets set to ''.
