Is there anyway to assign a token in the notification so that the username of the person that asked the question is included in the notification?

I know I need to change that into the *.module file but I am not sure of the token I need or it a token is available or if I need to install some tokens first so I would prefer not to play with the code without some assistance.

We really don't support the Token module, if that is what you mean. Right now, the message is not even customizable. I probably should do that as part of giving you the ability to include the creating user's name.
