During #157693: Upgrade project issue to Drupal 6.x we ripped out the code that used to provide the /search/issues tab, but left the menu item in place.
It'd be trivial to have a little custom code at that menu item to embed the site-wide advanced search view (e.g. http://d6.drupal.org/project/issues/search).
Is that good enough, or should we do something else?

webchickThat sounds like a fine workaround. http://d6.drupal.org/project/issues/search is way more utilitarian than http://drupal.org/search/issues (this response is going to look very funny in a couple weeks ;))
