It appears that at least two different versions of Node Images exist with the version number 6.x-2.x-dev. How about replacing the second x with a real number in the next version?

Just saw that this is a development snapshot, and this seems to be the usual way to do things. Sorry for the confusion. I'm closing this issue.

How about turning it into a beta version? It seems to be reasonably stable. There aren't many serious bug listings either.
