Maybe this is known and makes sense but just wanted to report what I found. The module works great for me on cck text fields with character limits. I had one field with fckeditor enabled and the countdown does not work on there. After having added characters and saving, it shows the correct new number but it doesnt count while typing.

It's the same for Maxlength 6.x-2.0-beta1 and FCK Editor 6.x-1.3.

This version of Maxlength is not supported anymore. The issue is closed for this reason.

Please upgrade to a supported version and feel free to reopen the issue on the new version if applicable.
