If I go into admin
http://www.mysite.co.uk/admin/panels/panel-page/user_profile/edit/content and try to add content on any of the panes when I click save I get a download file dialog box. If i click cancel on the download dialog box the changes I made are not saved.
This is preventing me from making any progress! Is this a browser setting or javascript problem? Exactly the same thing happens when I update views in the views module. Except there when the download file dialog box comes up I can click cancel then refresh my browswer and the changes are saved in the views module.
Any suggestions?

I asked moc if he thought this was panels or views and he said probably panels so moving there.

Please give this another try with Panels 3 - panels 2 is no longer in development, and I haven't seen a problem like this yet with P3.
