Description:
A new method for Kernel tests, KernelTestBase::installSpecificConfig() allows installing specific default configuration from modules. Previously, it was only possible to install none or all of a module's default configuration. This often means that a kernel test is installing configuration items it does not need.
Previously:
class MyKernelTest extends KernelTestBase {
protected function setUp(): void {
// Install all of the config from modules foo and bar.
$this->installConfig(['foo', 'bar']);
}
}
Now:
class MyKernelTest extends KernelTestBase {
protected function setUp(): void {
// Install all of the config from module foo.
$this->installConfig(['foo']);
// Install only one particular config from the module bar.
$this->installSpecificConfig('bar', 'node.type.bar_node_type');
}
}
