People use "ddev" and "Ddev" for the program itself (not the command), but it's really "DDEV", as can be seen on their web site https://ddev.com/.

Also, it seems like it is "htmx", not "Htmx" or "HTMX":

Perhaps these can be added under https://www.drupal.org/drupalorg/style-guide/content#relatedwords?

  • DDEV, not Ddev or ddev
  • htmx, not HTMX or Htmx

Also, I was not sure where to suggest this ... perhaps a link could be added somewhere on the https://www.drupal.org/drupalorg/style-guide/content page?

We have two "residents" of htmx.org in our community and I have requested their guidance on how they prefer to be addressed.

Copying responses from @latent and @1cg posted in Drupal Slack

htmx is always just lowercase. It is not a acronym for anything really.  website addresses and HTML tags and cli commands and single word variables in programming are always lowercase.

@latent

I occasionally type Htmx, but [@latent] is (as always) correct: it is all lowercase

Thanks for checking @fathershawn. It looks like the maintainer for the Words and phrases style guide left in 2017 (@tvn), but I hope someone from the drupal.org team can add these updates.
