I don't know this is an issue or not, but full WebP support including CKeditor's image upload button is always my concern.
I had no clue to activate full WebP support for CKeditor's image upload button, so only my solution is overwriting the core source code of ckeditor5.ckeditor5.yml. That works but I have to overwrite whenever update my core.

allow us to select imag file extensions for image upload button at CKeditor, or clearly document how to use WebP in the official documentation.

The Drupal Core issue queue is not the ideal place for support requests. There are several support options listed on our Support page, including the Drupal Forums and Drupal Answers. There is also Drupal Slack. You may get better replies in one of those places.

However, this reads like a feature request. I searched for existing issues and there is one, #3386605: Add CKEditor 5 support for WebP images. So, let's use that and discuss changing this over there.
