Problem/Motivation

Fullcalendar v7 separates background-event styling from regular events. The module currently shows one eventColor picker that applies to all event types. A second color picker in the Event Appearance group — visible only when the default display is set to Background — gives site builders the control they expect without surfacing a confusing option in the common case.

Proposed resolution

Add the new option.
