The optional $key parameter in \Drupal\feeds\Plugin\Type\PluginBase::getConfiguration() is out of compliance with the \Drupal\Component\Plugin\ConfigurableInterface::getConfiguration() it implements. The interface dictates that the method should have no parameter and always return an array.
