This problem also exists in version 5x-2.4.

quicksketchWhat e-mail address should be used for "To:" when the user is anonymous, when we don't know what their address is? Is the e-mail field marked as required so the anonymous user has to fill it in?

promesI am sorry. By your reply I see why you don't understand what I mean.
In my form I request an e-mailaddress as required field. So whether or not it is an anonymous users I get an e-mail address to use.
In the Webform mail settings you can open the Conditional e-mail recipients and select the users e-mail address, including the To: address.
I like to use this address as the senders mailaddress. But, I presume, this is not a bug but a feature request.
I hope I did clarify the matter.

quicksketchAh, well if you want the e-mail to be From that user's e-mail address, you use the "From" field. As long as this is an "email" field, even anonymous users can fill it out.

promesYes, in the component I selected the custom field "your e-mail address" which I think it should be used as the to address.
It's OK when an anonymous user fills in this field, since he/she submit the form. Even if it is a fake address.
