We need some default presentations of resource items inside the resource browser. Options might include:

  • Table view
  • Thumbnail view

I've locally started a Media Thumbnails module to add as a new formatter, if we go that route. We need to make sure we're on the same page for that.

Additionally, emfield has a thumbnail replacement scheme that might be worth looking at; in general, nearly any field type (or file) should be able to be replaced in display with a thumbnail, so we might want to make sure our system allows both for a file browsing thumbnail formatter, and a generic display formatter that allows thumbnails to be browsed? These are preliminary brainstorms we've talked about before.
