This issue tracks the initial scaffolding and architecture of the SDCC Theme.

SDCC Theme is designed as a neutral runtime container for Single Directory Components (SDC) in Drupal CMS and Canvas. It intentionally does not ship built-in UI components and does not inherit from Mercury or any design system theme, ensuring a clean and predictable component surface.

Scope:

  • Add base theme scaffolding using stable9
  • Ensure compatibility with Drupal CMS 2.0 and Canvas
  • Declare dependency on SDCC Connector module
  • Add empty runtime component registry
  • Provide project documentation and contribution baseline

This issue establishes the architectural foundation for all future development and releases.
