For the records, if we need it: Another alternative would have been to add the canonical route to the routing.yml like it was done here: #3554064: Symfony\Component\Routing\Exception\RouteNotFoundException: Route "entity.search_api_page.canonical" does not exist.

I found both solutions applied in various modules.
