I'm not exactly sure what is causing it, but it has happened about 4 times in the last week. I'll be editing one panel page and be editing a pane that is being used on another panel page and when I go into the other panel page half of my panel panes disappear. I have to reconfigure them again.

It seems to happen when I'm editing the node override panel page. node/%

Has anyone else ran into this?

From your description you're using Panels 2, not 3; and I've heard other reports of this too. Not sure what's going on, though, will have to try to duplicate this.

Panels 2 is no longer available and is unsupported. Marking all Panels 2 issues won't fix.
