Admin Toolbar Links Access Filter (Deprecated) — This module enhances the Drupal Admin Toolbar by filtering out menu links the current user doesn’t have permission to access. It’s now deprecated and replaced by built-in access control in newer Drupal versions.

The module Admin Toolbar Links Access Filter has been marked deprecated a long time ago, see:

Admin Toolbar Links Access Filter
The features of the Admin Toolbar Links Access Filter module are included in Drupal core since version 10.3 and therefore it should be uninstalled.
Since the module is no longer needed, it will be removed in future releases of Admin Toolbar when support for versions lower than 10.3 is dropped.

Was there any other action you would recommend as part of this issue or could we consider it Closed (Works as designed)?
Could you please update the status of this ticket accordingly?

Requalifying issue as Support request for now, since it does not seem there would be any code changes that should be made to the module.

The Admin Toolbar Links Access Filter module will have to be removed after the Admin Toolbar module has dropped support for versions lower than 10.3.
So the module will still need to be kept in the next 3.7 minor release and should be removed in the following one (maybe 3.8?!), which should probably have some kind of version constraint preventing a direct update from versions lower than 3.7.

This should prevent from having issues with sites running db updates (upgrading), unable to uninstall the module since it would have been removed from the code base.

Everything should be clear with this issue at this point, thus marking as Fixed , for now.
