This project exposes a simple PDF to Text tool for you file to string long or text long fields. Its using smalot/pdfparser behind the scenes, meaning that its completely portable and doesn't require and external dependencies or applications to be installed on your server. It just works.
Its very basic and if you need better quality we would recommend the Unstructured module.
Post-Installation
- On a node type setup a file field that takes PDF.
- On the same node type setup a string long field.
- When configuring it, turn on AI Automators and pick "Simple PDF to Text".
