Problem/Motivation
sun did not respond to the 2025 Annual Core Maintainer Check-In and has been unresponsive throughout the 4-week confirmation period.

As per the Core subsystem maintainer policy, maintainers who do not confirm their continued involvement will be removed from MAINTAINERS.txt.

Proposed resolution:
Remove sun’s name and contact details from the MAINTAINERS.txt entry for the Language subsystem.

Remaining tasks:

  • Commit the update to MAINTAINERS.txt
  • Notify the Core Committers Slack channel when merged

No UI/API/Data model changes.

What can I even say? sun's prompt help on a Taxonomy API addition issue for Drupal 7 back in 2011 is the reason I'm involved in Drupal core at all, period.

Thank you sun for being a mentor and an inspiration, and for teaching me the only German expression I've ever needed: Eierlegende-wollmilchsau!
