Problem/Motivation

This issue is to set the module status to deprecated.

The removal of extension Contact module was approved in #3476879: [Policy] Move Contact module to contrib.

Remaining tasks

  1. Create a section on Deprecated and obsolete modules and themes to provide recommendations for sites using extension Contact. The recommendations are to include instructions for sites using the extension and for contributed projects that depend on then extension.
  2. Add the following to the extension info.yml file

    3. lifecycle: deprecated
    lifecycle_link: https://www.drupal.org/node/3223395#s-contact

  3. Add #[IgnoreDeprecations] to all tests in the extension.
  4. Add a change record and include a link the the doc page.
  5. Deprecate any library that is only used by the extension.
  6. Do a thorough search of core for any remaining references to the extension. If references are found, outside of the extension, then creates issues to remove the references.

Created CR https://www.drupal.org/node/3571602 and rebased MR, added #[IgnoreDeprecations] to all tests (except unit one which does not install modules) and there's no libs to deprecate. Looks ready to go

Confirmed that the relevant tests had the IgnoreDeprecations attribute added, except the Unit tests as noted and the existing other tests already deprecated with migrate_drupal.

I saw that there is still contact module reference/use in the <olivero_test module and core/tests/Drupal/Nightwatch/Tests/Olivero/oliveroPreprocessFieldMultipleValueFormTest.js test, so I commented in the parent meta issue #3520460-46: [meta] Tasks to deprecate the Contact module.

In the CR:

If you want to keep using the functionality provided by History, read the recommendations for Contact.

I assumed that "History" should be "Contact", so I made the change.

Otherwise, lgtm.
