what OSX/Safari versions do you have ?
I have OSX 10.4.11 and Safari 3.0.4 and both pages you had problems with loads OK on my machine.
This problem (links instead of player) might appear when JS is disabled (so swfObject is not working) or if you have some kind of ad blocker (FireFox ad-block causes the same behavior)

I don't have any problems with Safari 5.2.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.6.
