I think imagecrop and imagefield_crop should merge into one project. Both projects have good and bad points and it's very tough deciding which one to use.

imagecrop strengths
Nice, integrated interface

imagefield_crop strengths
Keeps original image (thanks to imagecache integration)
Uses existing imagefield backend

I know there was talk of this merge in the past... what happened?!

nothing, besides a positive nod from swentel. Anyway, I've decided to continue with this module, as it seems more usable IMHO.

I'm in agreement. The D6 version is far more usable already - I'm lovin it! ;)
