Introduction
It's now possible to publish and unpublish a poll! In the past it was only possible to open and close a poll which only affected if one could cast a vote or not.
An update hook is provided to update all existing polls to copy the existing "active" values into the correct field and to set all polls as published. Make sure to execute your database updates!
Poll overview
The poll overview view was updated to add the new published column and to add a new filter. This will be effective for new site installs only. If you have not overwritten the poll admin view which ships with this module, you can simply manually import the Yaml file from the config/install directory of the module. If you have made changes to this view, you can simply replicate the field and filter config in your view.
Permissions
This introduced a new permission access unpublished polls, so you can decide who can see unpublished polls.
Module developers
Following methods are changed to act on the active field rather as the status field which is by default used to determine a poll is published or not:
Poll::isOpen();
Poll:isClosed();
Poll:close();
Poll:open();
Since we implement the EntityPublishedInterface you can now use the following methods to get/change the publishing status:
Poll::isPublished();
Poll::setPublished($published = NULL);
Poll::setUnpublished();
