After creating an organisation page for one of my clients, I noticed we don't have to option to add more maintainers. The organisation page is https://www.drupal.org/blackbird. I wanted to make https://www.drupal.org/u/mathijs_blackbird a co-maintainer of this page.

Is this something that is possible? Or do I need to transfer the ownership of the organisation page completely?

Organization pages do not have maintainers/co-maintainers. There is only the node owner, who can edit the organization node.
If somebody from the organization needs to edit that organization node, that person needs to be made the new node owner.
