I think its the matching Symfony compatibility. |
| smustgrave |
any concern that there isn't a release yet for Drush 13 though? |
| smustgrave |
I have no issue with a beta version but didn't know if it's the norm |
| Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) |
I think it usually coincides with the new major version of core than 🙂 |

@moshe maybe can elaborate? |
| moshe |
What’s the question? |
| Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) |
"Why is Drush 13 the only version supporting Drupal 11 (its still in beta)" |
| moshe |
There should be two? |
| smustgrave |
Should be two what? sorry |

Drush 13 is ready for final release IMO. Just waiting on the Drupal release. |
| smustgrave |
So this just may be me, and not sure if Drush 13 works for D10. But I would see if there could be a release of that first as some sites may want to upgrade drush first before D11. I know I like to do things in chunks so if I can upgrade, for example php and drush together I would |
| moshe |
Yes, Drush 13 works with D10. You can specify it in your composer.json |
| smustgrave |
So possible to do a Drush 13 release? Again I have no issue with a beta but can see others may wait |

https://drupal.slack.com/archives/C03L6441E1W/p1721673538523489?thread_t... means that Drush 13 will be stable when Drupal 11 is stable. |
| Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) |
https://www.drush.org/12.x/install/ has a compatibility table, says Drush 13 is compatible with Drupal 10 🙂 |

Because symfony 7 |

We probably should try to make the update changes to UpdateDBCommands::updateDoOne() before 13 is released if possible. https://git.drupalcode.org/project/drupal/-/commit/df700a8d660f0912003e7... |

I just opened https://github.com/drush-ops/drush/issues/6070. Will try to code it up when I have time, there are some BC considerations here to take into account, I’ll try to code it up in the next few days if noone else does. |
| moshe |
Someone else coded it 🙂 . PR just needs some minor help. I commented. |
| mikelutz (he/him) |
Dang, I must have been blind. I looked for another issue before I made that one and must have glossed right over it. |

Goal is to update to stable version of jQuery 4 and jQuery UI 4 in time for the stable release, but if there are no stable releases of those available, then we will go with the betas. |
| Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) |
Eg.#3462339: Update to jQuery 4.0.0-beta2 was a few days ago |

The third issue is the thing about avoiding "upgrades" from 10.4 to 11 as much as we can. This is just a bullet in the IS unless someone else filed an issue for it already. We will definitely include an update hook to stop people from hosing their data--there is already an API for this--but we should try to mitigate it in other ways too. (edited) |

I don't think there is a core issue for this yet, tbh I keep forgetting we fixed the main update issue so didn't think to file a new one. Can open in a couple of hours. |

Here it is:#3463225: [meta] Prevent 'downgrades' from maintenance minors to older minor releases for the next major version |

@catch Thank you so much; I can now mark a couple persistent Slack reminders complete ❤️ |
