Even though I haven't established any categories for the FAQ, the menu item is showing a collapsed bullet.
Is this the default state and if so how can I change it? I have tinkered with the CSS for lists with no change.

stella commentedI can't reproduce this issue. It should be unrelated to whether categories are enabled or not anyway. Even when they are enabled, the collapsed icon shouldn't appear.
Can you expand it? Do other links appear if it expands? Do you have the FAQ Ask module installed?
Do you have any URL alias that contains
faq? You can check at admin/settings/pathCheers,
Stella

Thanks so much for posting.
I will try the update.
In answer to the questions
Can you expand it?
No
Do other links appear if it expands?
Doesn't Expand
Do you have the FAQ Ask module installed?
No
Do you have any URL alias that contains faq? You can check at admin/settings/path
No
I have replaced all the bullets with the same image to make this go away temporarily.
This also happens with the feed aggregator menu link when I use it for only one category.

stella commentedCan you upgrade to the latest version of the faq module? Don't forget to run update.php.
However, the fact that it's happening for the aggregator menu too makes me think that it's not related to the faq module itself.
auroramae commentedI updated the FAQ and the source still shows the FAQ menu item as collapsed.
The other menu items that are collapsed all have children.
Just a quirk and I wish I could figure out why.
auroramae commentedStill looking for answers to this issue. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it shows as collapsed?
stella commentedI finally managed to reproduce this issue, yay! This allowed me to determine the cause of the problem and fix it. The attached patch should do the trick, or you can use the next dev version, available later today. Just be sure to clear your Drupal cache after applying.
Cheers,
Stella

najibx commentedHi ... I don't see any bullets anywhere, neither on the groups nor on the FAQ questions. Using firebugs, there no
On the other note, is numbering listing of groups/FAQs is a new features or something I can configure anywhere?
stella commentednajibx: this is a separate issue to the one you described. Please open a new issue for the problem you're having.
You can configure ordered vs unordered lists on admin/settings/faq/questions for the faqs and on admin/settings/faq/categories for the groups
