I'd love to see a content-type that is simply a thumbnail, not an image.

Why? I want to illustrate my links. So when someone posts a link to an other site, I want them to be able to attach an image or screenshot along with it. The image will never be displayed since it is just a reference for the link. when you click on the thumbnail you will be redirected to the site instead of the full-sized image.

I'd be willing to donate a few bucks, but that didn't really help in the past. I just thought I'd mention it anyway.
