Out of curiosity: What's the meaning of the [Experimental] issue title prefix? 🤔 Isn't everything we're currently building experimental? 😄

P.S.: very nice to see this; it sort of makes the PoC come to life 🤩

At the time when I made this issue I didn't know if the interaction of panning and zooming that I had in mind was the direction we wanted to take the XB. It was a half-hearted attempt to signal that I was building something that may or may not have ended up being the direction we decided to go.

Having seen the reaction from other people and discussed with the UX stakeholders though, it has proven to be very popular so I am happy to remove the experimental label and commit to pushing forward with this interaction.
