0️⃣.5️⃣ Who’s planning to attend DrupalCon Singapore? Are you submitting a talk?

Griffyn Heels I’m planning to attend, hoping to be on the registration desk :crossed_fingers:
darvanen I'm thinking about it, there are some logistical hurdles but if I can go then I'm likely to submit a talk about #frontend-bundler-initiative (shameless plug)
pameeela i hoping to attend for sure!
larowlan planning to attend and mentor at codesprint. likely to submit a session, always got some ideas

1️⃣ Do you have suggested topics you are looking to discuss? Post in this thread and we’ll open threads for them as appropriate.

Griffyn Heels It’s been pretty quiet in BS recently, what should we do? I’ve been more focused on #experience-builder these past few weeks.

2️⃣.1️⃣ Wins - what wins have you had since the last meeting? Share your successes!

dww Smashed #3442227: Use labels in Views argument summaries for entity references in time for 10.3.0 — at last, views arguments with entity references actually work :joy:
dww Also smashed #3451701: The update module should not crash with releases that contain invalid values for core_version_requirement (critical bug) in under 3 days, just in time for 10.2.7 :tada:

4️⃣ Update on the one :o:

pameeela this one is a beast. https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/174617there was some progress but a new approach has been suggested
pameeela added a comment with a suggestion to progress.
smustgrave So saw the response from the user and not sure best approach. Like the idea of splitting up to new tickets (too many comments already) but with opposition who can make that definitive call.
pameeela Well it doesn’t seem like it will be committed as is but I think we need to wait for Alex to reply.

7️⃣ @Griffyn Heels ” It’s been pretty quiet in BS recently, what should we do? I’ve been more focused on #experience-builder these past few weeks.”

Griffyn Heels Speaking for myself, I’ve not been able to give BS much love recently. Really been focused on getting #experience-builder started and coordinating that.Wondering how others are feeling? What do we want to do with #bugsmash? Is it fine to be quiet for a bit? Or should we put it on ice to focus on the XB/Starshot initiatives?
darvanen There's only so much energy we each have. The wind left my sails on this one a few months ago (probably obvious)
Griffyn Heels People might also just be over it. It has been running for over 4 years.
smustgrave Actually started to get back into it has I scaled back on #needs-review-queue-initiative
smustgrave Do like the mix with PNMI as there’s always about 700-800 issues there
pameeela i think it's fine if it's quiet for a bit. i love having it as a gentle reminder to do something, and if i'm available i will!
pameeela i am doing a talk on bug smash in barcelona so maybe can help rejuvenate things!
larowlan same, focusing on the new initiatives (Experience builder)
lendude Yeah talking on Bug Smash tomorrow at DrupalJam and still think this is the place to go for that “hmm I got 15 minutes to spare, what can I do to help out”-moment
smustgrave Though 1 thing id like to see is people post more for reviews. These tickets have been lost to time so most times no one is paying attention
Griffyn Heels Fair, thanks everyone for your feedback
dww I personally believe the review swap is the most valuable aspect of this channel, and it’s under-utilized. I tend to do more smashing of old / hard bugs, less triage. It can be sad and lonely working on ancient Views bugs, etc. but knowing I’ve got a sub-community in here where I can keep things moving, get quick reviews, feedback from committers, etc, really helps keep my spirits up and my will to continue alive. And in swapping, I end up looking at bugs I wouldn’t have otherwise been drawn to. Quality peer review still seems to be among the biggest bottlenecks to core contribution, so having this place to foster that is incredibly important.
smustgrave I couldn’t have said it better myself.
