Create a new “Drupal Overview” page in the “Why Drupal” section. This should replace the link to the “about” page in the main menu. Here’s a link to the proposed content draft: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tXurPXoMeDjtfZQv_CfXdC7U14Zq92psgG1H...

We should leave a link to the existing the “About” page in the footer so that this information is still available.

We should also remove the link to the “Drupal 10” page from the main navigation, in order to keep all the main navigation content evergreen. This will be linked to from the “Why Drupal” page.

Our reasoning is that we need to highlight content that better speaks to evaluators and newcomers to Drupal, that describes the benefits and an overview of features that’s not overly technical. We also want to reduce the number of links in the main navigation to provide a more streamlined user experience

Notice that this project does not use its Git repository, not even to create pages on drupal.org.
Creating issue forks to add content pages is not how pages are added to drupal.org.

Is this issue still outstanding? I looked at the current page and it does not have the content from the wireframe. It also still links "Learn more about Drupal 9" which is about to be two majors out of date.

Six months ago I said this in Slack and forgot to post it to the issue:

I have no issues with the current content, but it definitely needs the sidebar block (possibly with a lot of pairing down and moving some of the direct links to a child level) with our blog and whatnot

Unfortunately I have NO idea what I was talking about. 😅

It is still outstanding! I actually just regrouped with @pixelite and the Promote Drupal group. I am hoping to have the page staged up by the end of the week (maybe tonight, but lets not jinx it).
