mail_logger.info is missing this line:

core = 6.x

without it, the module cannot be enabled.

Ok, I see the problem.

I checked out from cvs the DRUPAL-6--1 branch, but it is actually the Drupal 5 code in that branch.
To get the D6 code, one must checkout HEAD (or download the official package!)

As soon as some patch goes into mail_logger i will re-tag all branches correctly. thank you for noticing this.

Nothing has been fixed. leave the issues open at least for the sake of the other users so that they don't suffer the problems I encountered because of those bugs.
If you prematurely close the issues, they won't be visible and it's neither me nor you who will suffer the consequences of not knowing about this issue.
