Introduced in version:
10.6.0, 11.3.20, 11.4.11
Description:
As of PHP 8.3 the function assert_options() and the assert.* directives are deprecated via RFC and should not be used in production code. To enable assertions PHP should be configured with zend.assertions.
Relying on Drupal’s default setting for zend.assertions is deprecated. If zend.assertions has been set to -1, it cannot be changed.
Before:
In settings.local.php:
assert_options(ASSERT_ACTIVE, TRUE);
assert_options(ASSERT_EXCEPTION, TRUE);
In .htaccess:
<IfModule mod_php.c>
php_value assert.active 0
</IfModule>
In .user.ini:
assert.active = 0
After:
In settings.local.php:
ini_set('zend.assertions', 1);
In .htaccess:
<IfModule mod_php.c>
php_value zend.assertions 0
</IfModule>
In .user.ini:
zend.assertions = 0
