Whenever I open an edit page with the fckeditor enabled, I get another copy of the teaser (i.e., the bit of the post before the first <!--break-->) added on to the front of the post. So the teaser (including its <!--break-->) is duplicated when I save. Do others have that problem as well? It happens with the latest version of the code, on both Firefox and Chrome.

wwalc CreditAttribution: wwalc commentedAre you using the latest dev (6.x-2.x-dev 2008-Nov-20)?
Did you clear the browser's cache? Does it happen when editing a page/strony or only when editing a custom content?
Could you try to reproduce it starting with a vanilla Drupal 6 installation?

Paul M CreditAttribution: Paul M commentedI am having exactly the same problem using Safari Using FCKeditor with the latest modules of CCK, lightbox and IMCE installed. I have tried clicking the show summary button but this had no effect, the post's continued to be duplicated . If I disable the teaser select area it all works OK

wwalc CreditAttribution: wwalc commentedOnce again I need to ask you couple of questions:
- Does it happen in a Garland theme?
- Does it happen when you edit a Page or only when you edit some specific content?
- @Paul M - are you using 6.x-2.x-dev as well?
- Are you both using the latest 6.x-2.x dev release?

andersh CreditAttribution: andersh commentedI have the exactly same problem, and have some additional information. If you enable the "Adminster Nodes" rights, the problem goes away. I have tried to disable all filters both from FCKEDIT and from "Input filters" but it does not change anything.
The downside is that "Administer nodes" rights give my users the ability to publish and edit any type of content, so I can't keep it like this. Hope the info helps in finding a solution.

Paul M CreditAttribution: Paul M commentedYes the teasers are duplicated on the Garland theme
When the page is opened it shows the duplicate content already, doing nothing on the page but merely saving it creates the duplicate
I am using the 6.x-2.0-alpha3
I am not sure what is meant by the Administer Nodes (if it means giving permission to all users of the Node module-that made no difference on my setup) but am willing to try it if it would help

andersh CreditAttribution: andersh commentedI'm using the "Pixture Reloaded" theme. It worked brilliant for the admin user. So I checked and unchecked rights until I nailed it. The "only" rights I need to check (other then the ones they already have) for it to work for users are the "Administer Nodes" rights.

wwalc CreditAttribution: wwalc commentedI think I have found this bug. Please download the dev release*tomorrow* (dev release from 2008-Dec-05) and reopen this issue if
you're still experiencing this bug.
Please test it tomorrow and confirm whether this bug has been really fixed. Please remember about possible issues after upgrading: http://drupal.fckeditor.net/troubleshooting#6 [1]

austintnacious CreditAttribution: austintnacious commentedSo I searched the issues for this problem and found this thread.
I know it's old and was closed but I am getting this exact problem so I'm setting the status to active in the hope that someone can help.
I think it is only happening on pre-existing nodes.
I.e. nodes I've created and /or edited using another WYSIWYG editor (during development).
In order to stop the replication of teasers I have to "do something" to somehow get FCKeditor to "take control" ot the node.
E.G.
If I create a completely new node, the problem does not exist.
If I use the convert module to change to another content type (just a duplicate of the current content type), the problem does not exist.
If I mess around and change input format to filtered HTML using plain text editor, save, then come back to the node and use FCKeditorhe problem does not exist. . .
Help!
I'm using all the newest versions of the relevant modules.

Jorrit CreditAttribution: Jorrit commentedCould you try to copy the node contents from the database to here or to an email to me? Or perhaps allow me to have a look at it?
austintnacious CreditAttribution: austintnacious commentedWell, I downloaded the Aug 26th copy of 6.x-2.x-dev and the problem seems to have disappeared!
I can now edit nodes that were giving me the problem, delete the repeated teasers, save and, voila!, the teaser block does not get DOUBLED again.
2-4-8-16-32-copies of teaser rendered in node view after each edit.
Seems to be working. . .
