Handle exceptions throw by real_aes and encrypt

Problem/Motivation

See #3157453: Decrypt and encrypt returns false

Now that the real_aes module throws an EncryptException instead of returning FALSE, the module needs to be able to catch this exception and handle it gracefully as if it had been a FALSE return like previously.
