This is against best practices to tag 2.x releases on 8.x-1.x branch. Also this makes for a bad user experience when it comes to report and issue because there is no 2.x-dev release in the "Version" selector.

Please :

  1. Create and 2.x branch
  2. and 2.x-dev release from it
