User registration -> apply user role action doesn't work [#328544]

I have a rule set up where on user registration a role is supposed to get added to the registered user. But nothing changes when the user registers; they don't that role assigned. I'm not getting any errors or seeing any in watchdog. It's just not working.

Ideas?

please update to the latest development snapshot and try again, I've fixed exactly this use case - but I don't remember if it's in the 2.1 release - perhaps have a look at the changelog and cvs commits.
