Hi. Feedback 2.0 is great and handy, but it's working for me with some themes, not with others.
I don't know whether I should be reporting this with the themes or to this module's issue queue.
For me it:
Works with BlueMarine
Works partially with RootCandy - Displays and accepts message, but 'hangs' with circular animated graphic and does not minimise.
Does not work with Abessive - Not visible, but javascript *is* in the page source
I did see in the documentation:
"Feedback 5.x-2.0, 2008-07-16 #279636 by sun: Fixed compatibility with (hopefully) all themes."

sun- Do you have jQuery Update 2 installed? That is required.
- Are you using the latest development snapshot? Latest theme compatibility issues are only fixed in there.
- Unfortunately, Feedback can (and will) not support any possible theme in the wild. There are too many ways how a page can be styled, which may be incompatible to Feedback's styles. So, yes, if a particular contrib/custom theme does not work, support for Feedback has to be fixed in there.

tebb commentedThanks Sun.
Maybe I confused things by reporting this against 6.x-2.0 but mentioning the v5 documentation.
Q: Do you have jQuery Update 2 installed? That is required.
A: The project page says this is only a dependency for D5. This is D6.6.
==> Is it needed for D6?
I have read the jQU project page which says jQ 1.2.6 is in D6.3 and above.
However, I have installed the module so that upgrades to jQ library are flagged to me.
Handy, thanks.
Q: Are you using the latest development snapshot? Latest theme compatibility issues are only fixed in there.
A: No. I'm using 6.x 2.0
==> I'll update to the 6 dev, test and report back for my current theme.

A: OK, understood.
Thanks. I'll add another comment once tested.

tebb commentedAdded jQuery Update for D6
Upgraded Feedback 2.0 to 6.x-2.x dev
=> No change, still 'hanging'.
In case it helps anyone, I have noticed that the behaviour is different when logged in as admin compared with a different user with a lower role.
It actually works *worse* for admin, so perhaps it's a clash with something in 'devel' or 'drupalforfirebug'.
Cheers, Dru-p

tebb commentedFrom testing, I found there *might* be two issues.
1) Devel module
2) Themes
Some themes I accused above, may be 'innocent'!
On my site ...
Feedback 2 works with the following Devel features enabled:
- collect query
- display redirect page
- display form keys
Feedback 2 hangs after save clicked when any of the following Devel features are enabled:
- show query details
- show execution time
- show memory usage
I believe this is a known issue between Devel and multiple other AHAH/javascript modules.
