Have been following the good work of https://www.drupal.org/u/svenryen in issue https://www.drupal.org/project/eu_cookie_compliance/issues/3243001 and we were previously using a patch derived from the merge request.

After recent changes, however, the patch can no longer be applied to the current 8.x-1.19 release.

Have created a patch that makes this fix available for the current 8.x-1.9 release

@DuttonMa, if it helps, you should be safe using the dev branch for now. We plan to tag a new release around 1st May.

We have tagged 8.x-1.20-beta1 now so I'd recommend rather using the beta release instead of this patch.
