Regarding #1524438: Usability: Redirect User|Edit page to User|View on submit in Slack we established that doing this would make User consistent with Node and other core entity types, so in the interest of consistency I think it's worth doing.

Regarding #3150316: Configured actions created by User module cannot be edited in the issue there is a bit of debating around which approach is best, I'd like to draw attention to my comment #48 on the issue where I set out what I believe the best approach is from a UX perspective, which is to address the underlying problem. Unfortunately I won't make it to the next meeting due to traveling but will be able to present this issue at the following meeting (2022-05-06).
