Problem/Motivation

Good morning. I recently created an RFC ticket about possible usage of locking functions of MySQL when saving entities. I proposed that we would write it and post as a contrib module when it's done, I only asked for some suggestions from the community. The ticket only has links to other Drupal issues and MySQL documentation.

However, it was detected as spam. Can you guys please check what went wrong?

Best regards,
Leonid

Hi, and a warm welcome to the Drupal community!

I've conducted a manual review of #3216606: Usage of GET_LOCK/RELEASE_LOCK functions for multirequest thread safety as requested. I've also published it.

As for what went wrong. Our automatic spam filter sometimes gets it wrong - it has been a long standing open issue - see #3069591: Make Akismet report the posts when it detects spam.

Actually, the account was still to be confirmed, which is what caused the anti-spam system to unpublish the post. (Users with a confirmed account aren't subject to the anti-spam system.)

I have confirmed the account.

kiamlaluno,
it is indeed helpful that you confirmed the account, but that was not the action requested - nor was it the action taken.

We need to retain the title to indicate both what action was originally requested, and the action taken to fix the request. We need to keep track of how often a manual review is requested in order to get the issue I linked to in comment #2, higher up on the radar.

Falsifying what was requested and what was done to fix is simply not helpful, and there was really nothing more to do in this issue. Of course, as a "community" user, you can confirm anyone you want to confirm, ant any time, without it being explicitly requested. But that is an action taken outside of this issue.

I've changed the title back to the correct one. Please do not change it again.

leonidzinets, and anyone else reading this, my deepest apologies for you having to witness this disagreement between two site moderators, it has of course nothing to do with you. I've tried to have this resolved by PMing kiamlaluno, but have not received a meaningful response. That's why I comment in public.

No, it has been the taken action, as I confirmed the account.
Please don't change the title if there isn't any confirmation that Request for "confirmed" role isn't the the correct title, considering it reflects what the task done is.
