1. Trial site on Win XP(SP3) and XAMPP 1.6.6a with SSL implemented through XAMPP.
2. Mail Server MS Exchange 2003(SP2) using SSL OWA (https/http) and SMTP.
3. The trial mail server is built on same host machine WinXP(as at serial 1 above) with VMWARE workstation 4 on guest OS win 2003 Enterprise Edition(SP2).
4. SMTP Module is throwing two lines of errors as below:-
SMTP -> ERROR: Failed to connect to server: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. (10053)

1. Problem Solved.
2. The cause was the Macfee Virus Scan ver 8 installed on the host (Win XP SP3) system, which blocks SMTP port by default.
3. With the Windows Firewall enabled too the Drupal is performing satisfactory.
4. The other causes found out can be incorrectly configured network setting in LAN/WAN especially routings and Norton AV 2004.
