Problem/Motivation

The excerpt was not being rendered in the "Rendered Entity" field provided for views.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable "Search result excerpt" in the "Manage Display" section of a content type being indexed for a view mode.
  2. Add "Rendered Item" field to search view and select the corresponding view mode.
  3. The excerpt is not rendered in the search results.
