You’ve got a Git copy installed (source), which lacks version info in the .info.yml file. Install a version packaged by Drupal.org (dist).

This is not an issue with either project.

@dpi i have used composer ( composer require 'drupal/salesforce:^3.6') which is pulling alpha version

You will not be able to install DER unless core_version_requirement is added to 3.x.

I'm not aware of the support status for 3.x branch for Salesforce so moving to the issue to the relevant issue queue. If as per the maintainer it 3.x doesn't get bug fixes then you might have to install 4.x version of the branch which doesn't have this issue.
