Description:
Drupal core packages now explicitly depend on the current minor branch (for example, ^9.1 instead of ^9), in order to make composer behavior with pre-releases more predictable. For example, the CoreRecommended project template has changed as follows:
"require": {
"composer/installers": "^1.9",
- "drupal/core-composer-scaffold": "^9",
- "drupal/core-project-message": "^9",
- "drupal/core-recommended": "^9"
+ "drupal/core-composer-scaffold": "^9.2",
+ "drupal/core-project-message": "^9.2",
+ "drupal/core-recommended": "^9.2"
},
"require-dev": {
- "drupal/core-dev": "^9"
+ "drupal/core-dev": "^9.2"
},
Impacts:
Site builders, administrators, editors
Distribution developers
