Problem/Motivation

The module is unable to establish a connection with a running LDAP server in my local.

I have set up LDAP server at the following URL.

ldap://localhost:389

It is accessible from the command line and other LDAP management tools without fail

Steps to reproduce

I have setup OpenLDAP on Ubuntu 18.04

Proposed resolution

At the moment I am not able to establish a root cause.

I am marking this as fixed. The problem was in my local setup and not with the module itself. Using an external server on the web instead of using an LDAP server in the local under the domain localhost solved my problem.

If anyone is interested you could use the following public test servers for checking out if your LDAP setup is working as intended.
