Problem/Motivation

Hello,

Regularly when someone gives me co-maintainer access to a project, it is another user account that obtains the access.

Because my username is "Grimreaper" (https://www.drupal.org/u/grimreaper) and the other one is "grimreaper" (https://www.drupal.org/user/1159936).

I don't know if it is possible to do something to avoid the confusion.

I open this issue on frob's (https://www.drupal.org/u/frob) suggestion. Because we are currently discussing to get me access to https://www.drupal.org/project/speedboxes

Regards,

Hi Grimreaper,
Thank you for bringing this up.

A bit of background analysis first. These are two different user account with user name as:

  1. https://www.drupal.org/u/grimreaper-0
  2. https://www.drupal.org/u/grimreaper

The user autocomplete field is case sesitive, and hence when someone tries to add you as "grimreaper", it gets assined to "https://www.drupal.org/u/grimreaper-0".

A quick win to this situation would be to add you as "Grimreaper" with a capital "G".

The other account hasn't been used to post on drupal.org. The user actually logged in just when the account was created.
I am going to rename the account from grimreaper, and send a message to the user to let him know the username has been changed.
