Problem/Motivation

farmOS provides both internal and external mechanisms for managing access to data. Internally, Drupal roles and permissions are used to grant access to users who can log in and interact with farmOS. Externally, OAuth2 scopes provide access to data via the farmOS API.

farmOS 2.x will not be drastically different, but there are some new considerations and opportunities. This meta issue will be used to track various tasks associated with data sharing and access control in farmOS 2.x.

We can close most of these "[META] 2.x..." tracking issues now and open new issues/roadmaps as needed.
