Tests for 9.x are failing, presumably due to various deprecations etc.
Hopefully we'll be able to maintain a single branch for 8.x and 9.x support.

Uploading patches here because I don't have a good test setup locally for 9.x.

Changed testing params for 9.0 to mysql 5.7 and seems to be working now.
