Hi,

After installing this module in a drupal 8.9.3 site i do not see a GeoJSON Feed Format option in the Views.

It should be there in the list should it not ? See screenshot.

Regards,
Hans

It's a display type rather than a format.

Instead of adding a Page display in your view, add a GeoJSON Export display.

This looks definitely "works as defined"

It also wasn't entirely clear to me, how to set this up in Drupal 10. Perhaps the project page instructions could be updated to something like this?

  1. Create a standard View ("Show: Content"), set "Type" to a content type with location information
  2. Click "Add" on the View form, and create a new "GeoJSON export" display
  3. Add fields to the View that include lat/lon, Geofield, Geolocation, or WKT data
  4. Set the display's Format to "GeoJSON"
  5. Set those fields as the GeoJSON data source under "Format > Settings"

Thanks @ressa. I went through the process again with your suggestions in mind and re-worded & re-ordered some things. Feel free to re-open this issue and submit a patch if you recommend further changes.

Thanks for a fast reply @jeffschuler. Your updated version in the README.md makes the process very clear, and looks perfect to me. Just a single detail: "shold".

But actually, my suggestion was aimed at the project page (https://www.drupal.org/project/views_geojson/), and replacing this:

Usage

  1. Create a View with a Feed display on content with location information.
  2. Set the display's Format to GeoJSON Feed.
  3. Add fields to the View that include lat/lon, Geofield, or WKT data.
  4. Set those fields as the GeoJSON data source.

Perhaps my suggestion would work there, since it is a more condensed version, with the bare minimum of information ...
